Course dates
In Rotorua. One to one tutorials by arrangement only.
Course fee
$2,000 plus GST = $2,300
Course fee includes
Student version of Inventor® software (includes AutoCAD®), a textbook and equipment.
Achievement
Certificate in Computer Drafting (Inventor® 3D modelling).
Trainees must:
- attend all tutorials (8 x 3 hour tutorials)
- complete all weekly assignments (approximately eight hours a week)
- provide their own computer, which is capable of running the Inventor® software (check specifications on Autodesk website).

TUTORIAL 1
Induction.
Installation of software.
Create a Project.
Create independent part files , (Using work plane, hole point).
TUTORIAL 2
Continue creating independent part files.
(Using continuous drawing, fillet, multiple material selection, rotate).
TUTORIAL 3
Continue creating independent part files.
(Use angled work plane, offset work plane, revolve, material selection, hole point/screw threads, shell).
TUTORIAL 4
Creating independent part files and assembly files.
(Import components from Content Centre, apply constraints).
TUTORIAL 5
Produce 2D Inventor drawing files.
Set up and save A3 x 1 Drawing Template in 3rd Angle projection.
Produce 2D drawing in 3rd angle, shaded and hidden views, set scale, base and projected views, isometric view,
detail view, sectional view, identify views and dimension, complete title block.
TUTORIAL 6
Produce 2D Inventor drawing files.
Sectional elevations.
Create PDF files, DWF files, JPEG files.
TUTORIAL 7
Create Presentation Files.
Exploded presentation and animation.
TUTORIAL 8
Other tools.
Spring, Loft, Sweep.
Create a flat pattern.
Pack and Go (For transferring assembly files).
